• Why might the price of the cake vary from the basic cost?

Prices may vary because of the design of the cake, the amount of work involved in time and materials.  For example, a cake with intricate icing work, or a cake that has lots of decorations applied, can take 2 to 3 times longer than a plain cake. Chocolate decoration may cost more due to price of chocolate.

All prices include cake boards, boxes, and simple decoration.  Cake centrepieces and flowers are NOT included in these prices - they will generally cost a little extra. 

Figures for cakes will incur a slight extra charge, due to the time and materials needed to make them, as they are custom-made to your requirements.   However don't panic - the cost can be from as little as £8.75 per figure. 

• Are there any delivery or set-up charges?

Where the delivery is local to the Wigan area, absolutely not!   A delivery charge may apply outside the Wigan area - but this would only be the cost of petrol to the desired address.

Set-up costs do not apply, as I believe this is part of my personal service to you.

• How much notice is needed?

For Wedding cakes, 6 to 8 weeks notice is preferable, but I can generally accommodate short-notice requests.  For any other cake, 2 weeks' notice is preferable, but again I have been known to accomodate short-notice requests.

• Is a deposit required?

A deposit of 20% is preferred.
