Kev’s Cakes is inspired by myself, an ex-Royal Navy Chef based in Wigan.  I make luxurious delicious cakes, made to your own individual requirements.

I started out in the catering trade over 30 years ago, and have worked in several establishments over the years.  I was first asked for a cake by family 20 years ago, a christening cake for my nephew.  That’s where it all started.

Since then I have made a variety of cakes for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries , indeed just about any special occasion.  I pride myself on my ability to give each cake I bake a little of a person’s character, making it even more special for your occasion!

I will personalise any cake.  If you want your wedding cake colours to coordinate with your wedding dress and the bridesmaids' dresses, this is easily done.   

I will work with you to design your perfect cake, whatever the occasion!

Any cake you see on my website can be made in the colours of your choice, and can  be made as any mix of fruit, sponge or carrot cake.  

I have had a lot of practise at making gluten-free cakes when I worked in York at a beautiful place called the Bar Convent. If you are ever in York, I recommend a stop there for lunch.  We specialised in making gluten-free cakes, and marked this with a special promotional day each year.
